Power Bank Recall Sparks Mobile Accessory Concern

  • Sold in Five Below stores, the CPSC says the VIBE USB Mobile Power Bars could overheat and cause fire hazards.
  • Items were imported from China by DGL Group of Edison, NJ, a non-industry firm.
  • DGL Group has received six reports of melted parts, leaking batteries and fire from bursting power bars. No injuries have been reported.
  • Currently, there are 1,924 products that appear in ESP under a search for “mobile charger.”
