As first reported in a Breaking News Alert, The Board of Directors at American Solutions for Business (asi/120075, ASB) has named Justin Zavadil president of the Top 40 company, effective immediately. Most recently, Zavadil served as executive vice president of the Minnesota-based firm. Previously, he held positions including VP of sales and director of vendor relations. In his new role, Zavadil will manage the senior leadership team and the following ASB departments: operations, finance, HR, IT, strategic operations support, marketing, vendor relations and vertical markets.

“I’m extremely optimistic about the future of this company,” said Zavadil. “I’m pleased to support American’s initiative to grow top-line sales and continue to improve the home office processes and efficiency. Zavadil’s father, Larry, the founder and CEO of ASB, will remain in his role. Moving forward, Larry will focus increasingly on top line growth, as well as sales force development and retention, according to an ASB spokesperson.

Counselor ranks ASB as the 13th-largest distributor in the industry, after the firm reported 2015 North American promotional product sales of $133.3 million.
