The Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced a recall on Christmas-themed pajama sets for children because the holiday wearables fail to meet federal flammability standards for children’s sleepwear, posing a risk of burn injuries. No injuries or incidents have been reported.

“This recall involves children’s 100% cotton knit, two-piece, long-sleeve top and pant pajama sets,” reads a recall notice from the CPSC. “They were sold in three different styles: Santa Claus print with a white button and black and gold belt screen print; Elf screen print with a white Peter Pan collar, three red buttons and a black and gold belt; and reindeer screen print on the top with a Faire Isle pattern on the pant and a reindeer on the top.”

On the neck label, there is printed “Mad Engine” “RN 129993” and the size. The pajama sets sold in children’s sizes XXS, XS, S, M, L and XL. Mad Engine claims these recalled pajama sets are counterfeit, the CPSC reported.

No ASI-listed companies were named in the recall.

Manufactured in China, about 350 sets of the pajamas sold at Foreman Mills stores nationwide from September 2016 through November 2017 for about $6. Imported by Karmin Industries of Canada, the nightwear was distributed by One Stop Shop, LLC, of Feeding Hills, MA. “Consumers should immediately take the recalled pajamas away from children and contact One Stop Shop for a full refund,” the CPSC said.
